We would like to take the opportunity that the stage of Prof. Luciano Rezzolla at the department of Astronomy and Astrophysics gives us to offer to Ph.D. students in Physics a series of lectures on Numerical Relativistic Astrophysics, which can nicely fit in our Excellence Doctoral Program. The overall content of the lectures and its partition by subjects are provided below.
Prof. Rezzolla has been participating as lecturer in the International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS) on Gravitational Wave Astronomy Ph.D. program. Such a program has become one of the best and well reputed in the international landscape. Prof. Rezzolla will offer a course similar to that given at the IMPRS on Numerical Relativity with applications to binary black holes and neutron stars. Such a course will be addressed to students of the Ph.D. program of Physics, as well as to students of the Master in Advanced Physics of our University.
The complete course will be given in 6 lectures of 1.5 hour each. The language of the lectures will be English.
